OPENING: Meeting called to order @ 8:05pm. Juice
introduced Past Commodore, John Friars who welcomed everyone and thanked
Michelle for cooking.
ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: All present.
ROLL CALL OF COMMITTEE
HEADS/ORGANIZATIONS: All present except National Boating Federation, Pageant and Regatta.
ROLL CALL OF CLUBS: 25 clubs present
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes were approved and
accepted as published.
OFFICERS & COMMITTEE REPORTS
President: Juice hoped everyone got out to vote today
and mentioned the Phillies winning the World Series. Juice thanked the clubs whose closing days he
and Mary attended and is already looking forward to next year. Juice is looking for yearbook covers as none
we handed in. The deadline will be
extended until the December meeting at FSA.
1st Vice
President:
John Maloney mentioned an article concerning LNG that said they are not going
to pursue a location for at least the next 5 years.
2nd Vice President: Butch Gricco no report.
3rd Vice
President:
Steve Zielinski no report.
Secretary: Rick Patton no report.
Audit & Budget: Bill Branchide no
report.
Banquet: Mary Jusino February 28 at
Cannstatters. Tickets will be available
next month. Should be
the same price as 2008.
Cruise: Bob Grace no report. Bob will be scouting locations for 2009
cruise.
Donations no requests.
Fleet Surgeon: Harry Borgersen Doc spoke about what to do if you think you have a cold. The best thing is rest. Doc will be giving flu shots at Bristol Yacht Club on November 11, 2008.
Pageant: Toni Nespola no report.
Picnic: no report.
Public Affairs: Bill Garwood no report.
Regatta: Fred Saunders no report.
Safe Boating: Frank Gilbert no report.
Shoreline Planning: Joe Campbell no report.
Webmaster: Paul Jusino Site gets updated twice a month
or more if necessary.
Yearbook: Paul Jusino cover competition moved to
December meeting.
Boater Voter: Joe Campbell no report.
CBYCA: Bob Williams no report.
National
Boating Federation (NBF): Bob Williams no report.
NJ Legislation: John Honer John spoke
about a couple pending bills: A3251 and
S2301. DEP task force for land grants
being formed. Visit website www.nj.gov click on individual sites of interest.
Pennsylvania Boating
Association - SE (PBA): Bill Garwood next meeting will be Wednesday, November 19th
at Delaware River Yacht Club in Philadelphia. There will be a guest speaker.
Next PBA State meeting will be October 25th in Harrisburg. Contact Bill Garwood for reservations at

NEW BUSINESS
· Nominations of officers. No new nominations were received. All incumbents were re-nominated. Final nominations and elections will be in December at FSA.
· New DRYL delegate for Harbor Lights is John Andrusko,
· Motion to allocate $300 for the Queen to attend the CBYCA pageant approved.
· Motion to have CBYCA Commodores Ball tickets and hotel costs for the President and First Lady to be paid for by the DRYL approved.
· Check to secretary for printing - $20.38
· Check to PDQ print for stationery - $90
· Check for ad refunds (ads that were not entered into the yearbook) - $28
FINANCIAL
REPORTS
Checkbook
opening balance $13,256.09. Mike Kovacs
reported income of $344.00 while Phyllis Blackeby reported disbursements of
$438.48 resulting in a checkbook closing balance of $13,161.61. A motion was
made, seconded and approved to pay the bills.

Doc has the new DRYL sweatshirts and they are for sale.
